About this product

Product information from the supplier.

Chloride process TiO₂ is a high-grade rutile-type titanium dioxide made via the chlorination–oxidation route, the international mainstream process for high-end applications.

🔧 How it’s made (brief)

1. High-grade titanium ore (rutile/high-titanium slag) reacts with chlorine at high temperature → titanium tetrachloride (TiCl₄).

2. Purified TiCl₄ is oxidized at ~1,000°C → TiO₂ powder.

3. Continuous surface treatment → finished product.

✅ Key advantages vs. sulfate process

- Higher purity & whiteness: fewer impurities, bluish-white tone.

- Narrow particle size distribution: finer, more uniform; better hiding power & gloss.

- Excellent weatherability: outdoor resistance to yellowing/chalking.

- Greener: continuous production, less waste, chlorine recycling.

🎯 Main applications (high-end fields)

- Automotive coatings: OEM & refinish paints.

- High-performance plastics: engineering plastics, PVC profiles, home appliance shells.

- Industrial coatings: coil, marine, and heavy-duty anticorrosive paints.

- Exterior architectural coatings: long-term color stability.

- High-end inks & rubber: silicone rubber, premium shoe materials.

📌 Quick note

100% rutile, quality stability, ideal for customers requiring high whiteness, high weatherability, and consistent batches.
