1.The surface is finished to a low-sheen, cotton-touch hand rather than a glossy velvet pile - fine and even, with a whisper-light embossed key pattern that adds grip and understated detail without looking busy. The matte thermal coating helps the fabric hold warmth and resist light soiling, so it feels cosy on a winter sofa yet stays simple to keep clean. Because the coating is matte rather than metallic, the colour reads true and soft under room light.

2.At 290gsm the face cloth itself is light, but the bonded single-side fleece backing builds it back up into a practical upholstery weight - enough body to sit smoothly over foam and resist the sag of a thin unbacked fabric.
