Product Details
Aluminum wire mesh (also known as aluminum screen mesh, aluminum mosquito net, aluminum window screen.) is the industry-leading choice for projects that demand lightweight performance, long-lasting corrosion resistance, and unbeatable value. The purchase volume of aluminum wire mesh is generally very large, and we have developed to have more than 30 machines to cope with the increasing order demand. Our aluminum wire mesh is produced using advanced weaving technology and strict quality control processes, ensuring consistent performance and long service life for residential, commercial, and industrial projects worldwide.
Core Advantages of Aluminum Wire Mesh
Exceptional Lightweight, Lower Total Cost
For identical specs, aluminum wire mesh weighs only 1/3 of stainless steel, 1/4 of copper, and 1/3 of galvanized steel mesh. This delivers three key benefits: drastically reduced long-distance shipping costs (ideal for large bulk orders), easy single-person installation (lower labor costs), and minimal load on supporting structures (perfect for building facades and suspended ceilings).
Natural Corrosion Resistance, Long Maintenance-Free Life
Aluminum forms a dense, self-healing oxide film in air that blocks oxygen and moisture. Unlike galvanized steel, it never rusts, streaks, or peels. It lasts 15-20 years in normal humid, coastal, and mild acid-alkali environments with zero anti-rust maintenance.
Superior Processability for Customization
Aluminum alloys have excellent ductility. Our mesh can be easily cut, bent, rolled, stamped, or welded to fit irregular sizes and complex shapes. It also takes anodizing and powder coating well, available in various colors and finishes to match any architectural style.
Excellent Electrical & Thermal Conductivity
Aluminum has ~61% of copper’s electrical conductivity and 50% of its thermal conductivity—far better than stainless steel. This makes it ideal for electromagnetic shielding, anti-static grounding, electronic heat dissipation, and lightning protection, at a fraction of copper’s cost.
Inherent Limitations of Aluminum Wire Mesh
Low Mechanical Strength, Not for Heavy-Duty Use
With a tensile strength of 80-150 MPa (only 1/4-1/3 of stainless steel, 1/3 of mild steel), aluminum mesh cannot withstand heavy impacts, high-pressure filtration, or safety fencing. It may deform or break under excessive stress.
Limited Resistance to Strong Acids & Alkalis
The oxide film resists weak acids and alkalis but breaks down in strong acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric), strong alkalis (sodium hydroxide), or high-chloride environments. Not suitable for filtering highly corrosive chemical media.
Difficult to Weld
Aluminum’s low melting point (660°C) and high thermal conductivity cause burn-through, deformation, and porosity during welding. Professional TIG or laser welding is required; standard electric welding will not form reliable joints.
Poor Wear Resistance
With a Brinell hardness of 20-35 HB, aluminum mesh wears easily and breaks wires under frequent friction or particle erosion, significantly shortening its service life.
