HBV env (335 – 343)

HBV env (335-343) is a high-purity synthetic peptide representing the HLA-A0201-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitope of Hepatitis B virus envelope protein. This 9-amino acid peptide (LLVLTLLGI) corresponds to residues 335-343 of the HBV envelope (HBsAg/pre-S) protein and serves as an immunogenic epitope recognized by CD8⁺ T cells. Manufactured under stringent quality controls with HPLC-verified pur…

1.MECHANISM OF ACTION

HBV env (335-343) functions as an MHC class I-restricted epitope that is processed by antigen-presenting cells and presented on HLA-A0201 molecules. The peptide binds to the peptide-binding groove of HLA-A0201, forming stable MHC-peptide complexes on the cell surface. These complexes are recognized by T cell receptors (TCRs) on CD8⁺ cytotoxic T lymphocytes, leading to T cell activation, proliferation, and effector functions including cytokine production (IFN-γ, TNF-α) and cytotoxic activity against HBV-infected cells presenting this epitope. The peptide's specific sequence (LLVLTLLGI) contains anchor residues that confer binding affinity to HLA-A*0201, enabling efficient T cell recognition and immune response induction.
