Multi-color Watch & Jewelry Present Box

This box is made of two parts: a base and a lid. The lid is a little bigger and sits down over the base, so the top edge is double. That is why it feels solid in your hand, and the box does not bend when you press it. To open it, you lift the lid straight up — there is no magnet and no hinge to work. Put the lid back on, and the box closes tight again.

A watch shop puts one watch in it, a jewellery counter puts a bracelet in it, and a couple picks two boxes for Valentine's Day. The box leaves the shop with the gift, and it stays on the dressing table afterwards.

Each box is wrapped with a thin ribbon that has gold or silver lines along both edges. The ribbon crosses the lid both ways, and the bow is already tied for you. So you do not have to tie anything: take the box out and it is ready to give. The ribbon color goes with the box: a pink box gets a pink ribbon, a brown box gets a brown ribbon. The bow sits on top of the lid, so the box still stands flat.

Inside the box there is a bed of shredded paper in light blue. The watch or the bracelet sits in it, so two pieces do not knock against each other on the way home. The paper holds the piece in the middle, so it does not slide to one side. When the lid comes off, the box is not half empty — it looks full and finished. If you sell a set, one box holds both the watch and the bracelet.

The box comes in six colors: cream, light pink, lilac, blue, brown and silver. The paper on the outside has a fine grid texture, and it shines a little when the light hits it. Under the paper there is greyboard, so the corners are straight and sharp. The lid fits the base closely, so you can turn the box upside down and it stays shut. You can pick one color, or pick two colors that go well together for a watch and a bracelet.
