The tag is not printed on the bag; it is a separate piece, die-cut into a shape of its own, hung on the handle, so it swings along as you carry the bag. On this sample the shape is cut soft and rounded, the board is the same light grey as the bag, and the artwork is made in three layers: the white skull is embossed, the sunglasses are printed in black, and the brand name is embossed in a line above and below the skull. Embossing pushes the artwork up out of the board, so it shows itself in the light rather than lying flat as ink. That gives you one more display spot: the front of the bag says one thing, the tag can say another. Shape, size and artwork are all made to your design.

The paper is matte, with a fine grain on the surface; shop lights do not reflect off it, and a finger pressed on it leaves no mark. This matters in a store: a bag on the shelf is picked up and put down many times a day, and it still has to look new at closing time. Open it up and the inside is a different note — the lining is warm cream, not grey, so one bag gives you two surfaces.

The handle is a flat black satin ribbon with a soft sheen; everything under it is matte grey. Where the shine meets the matte is where the eye lands first. The ribbon is wide enough that a full bag does not dig into your hand; it passes through the top of the bag and is secured inside, so it does not come loose when you carry something heavy.

The base is folded, so the bag stands up by itself on a counter even when it is empty, and it keeps its shape when full. It has carried:

-A folded coat or a sweater

-A pair of shoes in its box

-Two or three small gift boxes

-A skincare or makeup set

-A gift box with a layer of tissue paper on top.

The front of the bag stays clean: no pattern, just the brand name in black letters across the lower half. Where the letters sit, how large they run and which typeface they use are your call. The side panel can take a slim line of vertical text, the way this sample does. Any colour can be matched — send a colour code or a reference image.
