Red Top & Bottom Gift Box Set

The set is a box and a bag in the same red — a rigid board base and lid, plus a white card bag printed to match the box. The box is the firm half: board walls, not folded paper, so it keeps its shape with the lid off and can be carried full. The bag is the light half, and it is cut a little larger than the box in every direction, so the box drops inside it without being forced. Shredded filler comes with the set, so the gift sits up near the rim of the box instead of lying at the bottom.

The lid sits over the base with no hinge and no tape: it lifts straight up and can be set down beside the box, and the gift stays sitting in the open base with the filler around it. That is the difference between this and a folded box you have to open like an envelope — nothing is torn, so the customer can close it again and the box still looks new. With the lid off, the walls are still upright, so the box works as a tray while the gift is being looked at.

The hot stamping is the finish worth paying for here: gold foil is pressed into the red card, so it sits above the surface, catches the light when the box is turned, and does not rub off in the hand. A champagne satin ribbon is tied into a bow on the lid and runs across it in a band, and the bow is tied by hand, so it sits full and even. The bag takes the same treatment — gold foil and a pale twisted cord handle — so the box and the bag read as one set when they are handed over.

Boxes and bags are made in our own workshops, which is what makes a matched set possible: the box and the bag are printed, foiled and finished on the same floor, so the red on one is the red on the other.
