One Colour All Over

Every surface that shows is the same colour: the lid, the four walls and the base. There is no pattern on the box, so nothing competes with what is inside. A shop can put its own label, ribbon or card on the lid and the box still looks like itself. Because the colour is even, a stack of the same box reads as one block on a shelf.

How the Lid Sits

- The lid: a shallow tray that drops over the base.
- The join: the lid edge comes down past the top of the base.
- Taking it off: the lid is lifted with two hands and set aside.
- Putting it back: the lid goes down until the lid edge meets the base.
- In a shop: with the lid off, the base is open for packing or for display.

The Inside Stays Kraft

Lift the lid and the inside is kraft, whatever colour the outside is. The inner walls are lined in kraft paper, so the raw tone shows where a gift sits. On a black box the inside is still kraft, which keeps the box from reading as one dark block. Because the inside is plain, a sheet of tissue or a card can be added without matching anything.

Where the Paper Meets

- The face paper: laid over the board and turned at the rim.
- The corners: pressed flat, so no paper stands up.
- The rim: the turn is inside, so the edge shows as a line.
- The lower corner: the paper runs round it in one piece.

Stacked Up on a Shelf

The sizes are made as a set, so a shop can stack them from the small one up. Stacked in a window, the boxes build a shape instead of standing in a row. On a counter, one size holds samples and the others are kept filled behind it. Because the top of the lid is flat, another box sits on it without tipping.

How Our Factory Makes It

Our factory cuts the board, wraps the face paper over it and turns the edges in, then the lid and the base are pressed and left to set. The inner walls are lined in kraft on the same pass as the outside. Boxes are stacked and counted by size before they are packed, so a lot matches the sizes that were ordered.
