Why a Deep Burgundy on a Matte Face Works With Black and Gold
Burgundy sits between red and brown, and a matte face keeps it from looking bright. The bag is a deep red with the black tape at the top, so the two colours do the work on their own. Against the dark red, a gold mark reads without a background panel behind it. Under shop light the colour stays the same warm red, so the bag matches the season it is sold in.
How Gold Foil Is Pressed on the Matte Burgundy Face of the Bag
- The mark: pressed on in gold foil, not printed in a gold colour.
- Where it goes: anywhere on the face, from a large word to a small block of lines.
- The finish: the foil sits on a matte face, so the gold reads bright against it.
- With print: colour print and gold foil can be used on the same bag.
- The sample: the words in our photos show the finish, not a fixed mark.
- The die: a foil die is cut from the file you send.
Why the Black Tape Handle Can Go Over the Shoulder as Well
The tape is made long enough that the bag can go over a shoulder as well as in a hand. A customer who is already carrying something takes the bag on the shoulder and keeps both hands. The tape is wide and flat, so it lies along the shoulder as a band. Because the bag is wide, it hangs close to the body instead of swinging out.
What Keeps the Bag Flat and Square After the Clothes Go In
The card is an art paper, and it is heavy enough that the walls of the bag stay flat. The side creases are pressed in before the bag is glued, so it opens to the same shape each time. Because the paper is matte, the place where the bag is held does not build up a shine. The base is folded square, so the bag sits level when it is put down.
How a Shop Picks the Right Bag Size for Each Kind of Purchase
- A small bag: for a scarf, a belt or a single accessory.
- A mid bag: for a shirt, a jumper or a pair of trousers.
- A wide bag: for a coat, or for a gift box that has to go in flat.
- Mixed: the sizes can be ordered together, so a counter and its gift orders are covered.
What Our Factory Does to the Sheet Before the Bag Takes Shape
Our factory prints the sheet flat first, so the colour goes down before the bag has a shape. The gold is pressed on the same sheet, and the foil is checked against your file before the run goes on. After that the sheet is creased and cut, and the bag is folded and glued: the mouth, the sides and the square base. The black tape is threaded through the top edge and set, then each bag is opened once to check the tape and the foil. Bags are packed flat and counted by size, so a shop opens a carton and finds the sizes it ordered.
