The Paper Is Kraft

Both colours are made from kraft paper, so the fibre of the board shows on the surface. Brown is the natural shade of the paper, and white is the same board in a pale finish. The handle rope is kraft too, and it is left in its own tone on the white bag. Other colours can be made for an order if a shop wants the bag in its own palette.

The Smile and the Window

- The smile: cut out of the front panel, not printed.
- The eyes: two black dots set above the smile.
- On brown: the smile shows as a dark curve against the kraft.
- On white: the same cut-out, with the kraft rope for contrast.
- The window: clear PET, set in the front, optional.
- Two window shapes: a rounded square, and a circle for the small bag.

Made for Flowers

The bag is square and open at the top, which is the shape a small bouquet sits in. Flowers stand up in it without a vase, and the bag can be put straight on a counter. The kraft tone does not fight the colour of the flowers, whether they are bright or pale. A potted plant fits the small size, and the glued base stays flat under the pot.

How It Looks in Photos

The surface is plain, so the cut-out smile is the part the eye lands on in a photo. With the window version, the gift inside gives the picture its colour. Kraft reads warm under shop light, and it sits well next to wood and linen. The same bag is shot on a counter, in a hand or against a plain wall, without anything added to it.

What Goes in First

- Paper strands: laid in the base so the gift sits up.
- Raffia: for a lighter look under flowers.
- A light string: tucked behind the paper for an evening photo.
- A card: set against the window, so the words show from outside.

What Our Factory Checks

Our factory checks each lot before it is packed: the smile and the window are looked at for a clean cut, and the rivets are pressed to see that they sit tight. The base is checked by opening a bag out and pressing it down, so a lot with a soft floor does not leave the building. Colour is checked against the shade card, because brown and white differ from batch to batch of kraft paper.
